Economic Growth May Bring Relief for North Carolina

The providers of CareOne Debt Relief Services® know how it feels to grapple with debt, because many of us have been there ourselves. We understand that at times it may seem like there is no relief in sight, but fortunately, solutions exist and you do have options. We’ve learned how to overcome debt and we can show you how to take back control of your finances, too.

Many people have struggled in recent years as the nation has faced a shaky economy, but we’ve heard from many of our customers in North Carolina that it has been particularly hard for them. This stands to reason, because while North Carolina’s economy has traditionally outperformed the rest of the Nation, for the last decade it has fared worse1. Fortunately some economists think that North Carolina is on the brink of change. According to an economic forecast compiled by the Belk College of Business at University of North Carolina Charlotte, jobs are expected to increase by over 63,000 in 2012 and over 71,000 in 2013. This is welcome news, because at the beginning of 2012, North Carolina’s unemployment rate stood at 10.2%, while the national rate was 8.3%. By the end of 2012, North Carolina’s unemployment rate is expected to drop to 8.5%2.

At Care One, we’ve also seen that more North Carolina families are looking for debt relief. In fact, the number of residents seeking debt relief who claim one or more dependents rose 82% from 2010 to 2011. The cause for this increase may be that raising a family is getting more costly, as prices for day-to-day expenses rise faster than wages. However, with North Carolina’s employment outlook improving, we may see this statistic begin to reverse. As more people rejoin the workforce, it should make it easier for those families to regain solid financial footing.

If you’ve been adversely affected by the economy and are looking for debt consolidation, a CareOne debt relief plan may be able to help. Call us today and one of our Certified Personal Finance Counselors® can help you find a solution that will work for your unique situation. When you call, you’ll find an understanding person on the other end of the phone, because like you, many of us have struggled with debt in the past. We found a way out and you can too.
