Montana Economy Slowly Improving

The providers of CareOne Debt Relief Services®; realize that being in debt is a serious challenge, because many of us have been in your shoes. The good news is that because we’ve been there, we can help you overcome your debt. We also understand that people come to us with unique circumstances, and that a one size fits all solution isn’t the right approach. We’ll work with you to understand your situation and present a customized solution that fits your needs and your budget.

We talk with Montana residents every day and we know that many residents are struggling with debt despite some recent positive economic trends. The current unemployment rate is two percentage points lower than the national rate of 8.2%1 making it the 14th lowest in the nation. Additionally, according to CNN Money, the average amount of credit card debt per resident has decreased 9% from 2010 to 20112. But many Montanans continue to face difficulty; according to the U.S. Census the median household income is 18% lower than the national average and 14% of the population is living below the poverty level3.

The stories that CareOne providers hear from customers and our own internal data show that not many residents still need debt consolidation to help realign their financial outlook. We’ve seen that the number of homeowners in Montana who are seeking debt relief increased almost 20% from 2010 to 2011, which was 1.3% higher than our national average.1 We’ve also seen that the number of individual debts claimed by residents seeking debt relief has grown 7% from 2010 to 2011 and the average amount of debt reported has also increased by 2% during that same time period, putting the average amount of debt reported at 5.3% higher than our national average.

If you are a Montana resident and the current economic conditions, or your personal circumstances, have caused you to seek debt consolidation help, please call one of our Certified Personal Finance Counselors® today for more information. They’ll review your situation and present a complimentary debt analysis to help you find a customized, personalized action plan to get you back on track and in control.
