Feedback on our Efforts
Ascend One is proud of our list of contributions, sponsorships, and volunteer efforts - no question.
But what we're even more proud of is the response we have gotten for our efforts.

Corporate Citizenship
"...Anyone would be hard-pressed to find a charitable or educational organization that has been untouched by Ascend One's corporate philanthropy or employee volunteers...
Ascend One is indeed a stellar corporate citizen."
Barbara K. Lawson
President & CEO
The Columbia Foundation
Charitable Giving
Ascend One's level of support for the Y is without precedent in Howard County.
Bernie Dancel is a businessman with a belief in giving back, and the Y is among the lucky recipients of his generosity.
What is also remarkable is his willingness to engage others in his good works - his employees, business associates, other youth sports coaches, friends, as well as the kids on the sports teams.

Community Service
There's a lot I could say about Ascend One's profitability, its management structure and the extraordinary employees that comprise the company.
I would rather applaud Ascend One for being such a good corporate citizen.
Because they are here, Howard County is a better community.
When it comes to community service, the community comes to Ascend One.

Chief Executive Officer
Howard County Economic Development Authority
Volunteerism
Ascend One has, by far, been one of the most active business supporters of the Volunteer Center Serving Howard County, sharing Volunteer Center resources and publications with employees in an effort to connect them with the volunteer leads of local non-profit and governmental agencies...
Ascend One is an extremely valuable community partner to many agencies in our community, one that is willing to address social issues and needs not only through funding, but through committed action, as well.
Michael-Anne Gomez
Executive Director
Volunteer Center Serving Howard County
Ascend One employs a person full-time...to do outreach to the non-profit human services providers in our community and find ways that Ascend One and its employees can become involved in a personal way in the betterment of the community, through volunteerism and financial support.
Ascend One employees provide an annual picnic for residents and staff of the shelter programs.
It is truly the premier event of the year. Ascend One has also contributed a leadership gift to the building of a new shelter and home for our crisis intervention service.
Andrea S. Ingram
Executive Director
Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center, Inc.
Workplace Excellence
Ascend One, one of Howard County's premier major employers, cares.
They care about their employees by educating and promoting from within.
They have a stellar track record of employing minorities and women and have been recognized for their exemplary workforce initiatives by numerous publications and organizations...
On a personal note, I must say that the work Ascend One does to advise people in serious debt is truly invaluable.
An employee of the chamber used their services with such great success it totally turned the person's life around.
I applaud their excellence.

Collaboration
As the president of the Lazarus Foundation, a Columbia-based non-profit organization that recycles computers for other non-profits and educational institutions in the area, I've gotten to know Ascend One and have personally witnessed the company's commitment to helping our youth as well as those less fortunate.
Recently, Ascend One, Howard Bank, and the Lazarus Foundation joined forces to help Congregations Concerned for the Homeless in its effort to assist many families in the County get back on their feet.
It was a wonderful collaboration.

President
The Lazarus Foundation
Leadership
Ascend One has proven to be a forefront supporter of individuals with cognitive and developmental disabilities.
The company's commitment to the disability community is demonstrated through their volunteer leadership, financial contributions, and personal involvement in the success of our agency...
Without companies like Ascend One, the financial stability of The Arc would be less certain.
Most importantly, Ascend One contributes to a better quality of life for the people...and their families served by the Arc.
Ascend One Corporation's leadership matters every day.
