Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education

Hey everybody! DFU is hitting the road this week, heading out to lovely Scottsdale, Arizona, for this year’s annual AFCPE Conference November 18-20th.  If you’re heading there we’d love to get the chance to talk with you. Just send Ace an email at Ace@debtfreeu.org or hit us up on Twitter (@debtfreeu).

While there, DFU team members Ace Elliott and Tina Weatherbee will be busy sharing some of our newest and most useful features, most specifically the release of our customizable calculator widgets and our new partner listings. They’ll also have some great information about the soon-to-be-released Partners websites, fully customizable financial websites your schools can use and make your own.

Also, be sure to check back with us at DFU in the coming days. Ace and Tina will be “on the scene,” filming panels and getting interviews with some of the leading individuals in the financial literacy movement.

Here’s a quick rundown of who you should expect to see popping up in the next few days:
  • John Grable and Sonya Britt, speaking on “Gender Differences and Risk Tolerance: Are Women Really Different than Men?”
  • Linda Chalmers, discussing the value of “Creating a Student-Friendly Personal Finance Literacy Service”
  • Paul Goebel, Kristy Vienne, and Jacki Brossman-Ashorn, teaching Financial Success for College Students through Two Successful Money Management Programming Models
  • Virginia Zuiker, Lori Hendrickson, Sara Croymans, Becky Hagen-Jokela, and Janene Gilman, speaking on the Financial Literacy of College Students and Understanding Student Interests in Technology Use and Content

If you’re headed out to Scottsdale, let us know! We’d love to get the chance to talk with you.
